What a great site. Got home from vacation to a green pool and the error message. Found this site and my experience was exactly what the video showed (down to forgetting to plug in the cell after soldering)I have already passed it on to my pool guy so he can help all of his customers since it is such a common problem.

I had the same problem. Tried soldering the burnt joint twice and it didn't work. I ordered a new relay from Newark, had to order three but it cost me less than $10 dollars with shipping included. Had a friend who has a lot of experience in electronics and soldering remove and install the new relay. Re-installed the board and it works perfectly. Thank you very much for this site!

Can you say "conspiracy?" Hmm, lets see, thousands of Aqua Logic owners are spending $1000 bucks to replace their systems. I actually took my unit apart BEFORE I ever found this site or any other internet instruction and there it was, a burnt out solder. I re-soldered it and couldn't believe I fixed it. However, it seems when the board get heated up after 30 minutes or so the generator clicks "off". My soldering gun didn't get hot enough to heat the contact point, only the solder so I'm hoping to fix that with a better solder. I got on the computer again this morning and found this site and I am so surprised to see that many others have this problem. I'll get what I can out of this sucker but after it finally does take a dump I think I'm done with Goldline. Thanks for a great site!!!!!

I thought this system has a 5 year warranty. Would it be better to get it replaced under Warranty?

Holy Moly! It worked! Went to ACE Hardware and got the stuff there. My husband has been in a funk all day since he could not get it fixed. Went on-line and found this site! It worked on the 1st try and he was skeptical. Try it!!

My Aqua Logic control system is 4 years old this summer (2010), and just noticed the error message a couple of days ago. As my pool started turning green, I was panicing until I came across this web site and after removing the mother board, saw the same weld burn mark. It took longer to go to the store to buy the soldering iron and solder than it did to repair the problem. Make sure you use the flux or resin core solder. Your web site rocks and, no doubt, saved me hundreds of dollars. Things are working properly. Thanks again for your help...

TY TY TY TY... Were back up and running. I can't think you enough for producing the fixing no cell power for dummies video.. Will be contributing to the cause...
I too was curious if anyone had experience correcting the burnt solder point and how long before it "burns out again.. and any idea what caused it to begin with.
thanks

Mine looked just like in the video ... scraped away, soldered and all worked as promised. Thanks much. This said, any word on how long this fix will take or why it happens in the first place? Again thanks.

Thank you, Thank you for this website. I found this and showed it to my husband. While we did the fix he was very doubtful and said that it looked like it was making a connection. I had faith. Glad I did, it worked like a charm. Many thanks, you saved us about $700. Keep up the great work.

Well, after calling the 800 number and 2 local pool stores(never returned calls) I checked the internet and found your site. I watched the video about half a dozen times. Waited 2 days for information to sink in. Last night I did the job. IT WORKED!! Took less than 20 minutes, maybe a little longer(I had a rum & coke while working). Thanks for the information.

It worked, Actually had my cell checked at Leslie Pools first. They told me it was bad. Bought another cell on the Web. Plugged it in got the same message, no cell power. Pulled the circuit board as instructed above, did exactly as it said and it works. Not only does it work but it works with the old cell...Lesson learned,,,Leslie Pools the Pool experts...NOT

So I was cleaning my salt cell and found 0 amps and 0 volts when I hooked it back up. checked all the connections and couldn't figure it out. Pulled the panel cover and noticed a burn mark around the K1 solder point. Started pricing motherboards and found them from $300 to $1000. I was saying WTF!!! An absolutely unforeseen expense right now!!! Found this site and the video and said it couldn't be. A run to the hardware store and $10 later in solder equipment and I was back in business. Thank you so much for the site and the video!!!!!

Hi all, a customer of mine told me about this site. I am a Hayward/Goldline service tech. Just a side note as you watch the video....please never plug or unplug anything on your board with power applied..... otherwise this is indeed all you need to know to effect your own repair. good luck all

I checked the mother board and no burn showing could the cell be going and that is why I get the no cell power message. Can I get it checked before I get it replaced or just get replaced since it is over 3yrs old?
