Came across this website and figured that was my problem. Took apart the box and circuit card and was upset when I did not see the 'token burnt mark'. Had a coworker and friend of mine come over (former Navy ET/retired LCDR) and after taking some readings he concluded I had a "cold solder" on lead (that everyone else had "burnt"). Dropped from fresh solder on it, put everything back together and - IT WAS FIXED! Pool was installed in 2004, bought new cell last year. Everything else is original. Thank you for posting this quick and efficient fix! Saved me several hunreds of dollars!

If the soldering does not work the first time, remove the solder, clean and retry. I had to buy a new soldering gun because the one I had was old. It took me three tries, but in the end, it worked. Thanks for all of the posts.

This was fantastic!!! I never soldered anything before, got the soldering kit in home depot for about 16+tax but it didn't work the first 2 times. For those of you that have this problem don't get discouraged! Instead clean it completely by removing the old stuff then replace with new solder and it will work fine if this is the problem! 3 times definitely was the charmed! THANKS A BUNCH! Saved me the 100 dollar pool guy call!

Worked for me too. The current limiter showed signs of electrical stress (burn marks on board, part looked like the backside got hot). After replacing it, it fell apart in my hands. Replaced with the part from DigiKey mentioned above, now everything seems to be working. I bought a couple of spares to be safe, and we'll see how long things continue to work. Thanks for saving me $300+!!!

As I frantically thought I was going to pay 1000 dollars to have to fix my pool because it said no cell power..Dredgingly despondent to the thoughts of green yellow or black algae growing on the plaster of my50,000 new pool I ran down to the pool store and bought chlorine but not being home all the time made it quite difficult..I looked on the internet in disparity for one last bit of hope before making the phone call or just draining the pool and turning it into a chlorine pool..I fixed my pool in 2 minutes by opening the box pulling the nuts while the solder gun got hot didnt clean anything and just put solder right over the burn mark on the board..it took longer to count down then to fix it..lmbo..im going to the casino and taking that 1000 dollers and lay it on Red..Thanks

Had the No Power indication and thought I was going to pay several hundred dollars in repairs. After watching your video and inspecting and finding the same problem with mine I soldered the contact and it works great!
I was reviewing all the posts and wondering why Hayward/Goldline hasn't had a recall on the circuit board.

After a few tries, this fix definately works! For those who think that it did not please try again with this bit of advice. Dont be a perfectionist with your solder job. Trying to make this a nice clean solder point probably does not get enough solder to the other side of the board (where the actual connection needs to be made) Forget pretty on this one and just glob the solder in there!

This post is extremely helpful. I am inspired to post a fix if I ever come across one. I hope to additionally help the cause by sending a complaint to Goldline/Hayward. This is obviously an inexcuseable defect. It is in everbody's best interest that the company make's right and publishes a correction. I expect to have to solder this joint again in the future.

Same story here! I had the error message no cell power 2. Called the pool company that built my pool 3 years ago and they informed me of the warranty that was no 60% out of pocket, costing $429. I decided to try this and it worked for me as well. The burnt spot looked just like the video. Worked like a charm!

Had an appointment with the pool service people and waited 5 hours for them to show up. They called at the end of the time they were to be there and said they could not make it, wasted my half day of vacation. Then I ran into this video and thank you very much, $17 dollars later (the cost of a soldering gun and solder)my panel is up and running. The pool people were sure it was probably the whole panel that needed replaced at $800 or more for everything. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Simply Amazing! I read these comments and didn't think I would do it. I first panic when I opened the panel due to my lack of skills in any house hold repairs. The wires and board scared me but decided to try. What else do I have to lose since the pool repair person wanted 500.00+ estimate to repair.
I opened the back of the board and saw the burnt mark. Simply used a soldering iron and put a small drop. I have to admit, I had to do it twice as the first time, the solder must have not taken. The second time, I made sure I put the hot iron on the burned tip for a few seconds. My system is back running with all accurate readings and no ERRORS!!!
Thank you, thank you!!!!

As an engineer I read the comments on this site with great interest. It was an easy repair and have not had more issues with the cell power.
As far as the T 15 Turbo salt cell, has any one had any experiece or a part number for the salt sensor located within the cell. According to the local pool supply store that tested the cell in store chlorine is being produced fine but the sensor readings aqre jumping all over the place. It seems it would be a lot cheaper to replace the sensor than the complete cell. Any response is certainly welcome.
Thanks

I am a pool builder and maintenance man by trade . I have been in the business over 30 years. I have struggled with Goldline for the past 6 years about their mother boards. I have been charging over $600.00 dollars aboard. I felt bad on several occasions because I have built pools for alot of personal friends. Well my Goldline (now owned by Hayward) computer said "no cell power 2" and I panicked because I do not have $600.00 to blow on the pool right now. I saw this web site and followed the directions to the tee. It worked!!! Total repair time 12 minutes. Thanks for the info!!

I had the same burn mark on my board. I had a sodering gun already so I only had to buy was some solder. I repaired my problem for under $4. I now know that relay controls the voltage to the cell. If I ever get that message again I will desolder the old relay and solder in a new one. Thanks so much for posting this message. Had I not seen this, I would have bought a replacement board for $695.00.

Place a small jumper (short) from the edge connector to leg of K1. Take a small pocket screwdriver and scrape around connections and add jumper. Promblem is the hole of the board that k1 goes through is "hole through" and only connection is through that spot. Should be a permanent fix.

Good work! Saved me hundreds. 3 year old system and I'm getting error message about no cell power? Called pool builder who referred me to two guys miles away who might be able to fix it ('cause my warranty was out and if I called Gold Line it'll be $500 with their bunk pro-rated warranty - What a racket and ripoff) They also said they heard of this web-site called nocellpower.com. Watched the video, took apart the circuit board inside the box, saw the burnt spot, went to Walmart & bought a $10 soldering gun, soldered the burnt spot after cleaning it up a bit with alcohol, problem solved. It's working again!! Never soldered before. It did take 2 tries at the soldering thing, but the 2nd time it took and presto...it worked. My wife thinks I can fix anything now. This was fairly straight forward and easy so that even a knuckle-head like me could do it. Thanks.

Can you say "conspiracy?" Hmm, lets see, thousands of Aqua Logic owners are spending $1000 bucks to replace their systems. I actually took my unit apart BEFORE I ever found this site or any other internet instruction and there it was, a burnt out solder. I re-soldered it and couldn't believe I fixed it. However, it seems when the board get heated up after 30 minutes or so the generator clicks "off". My soldering gun didn't get hot enough to heat the contact point, only the solder so I'm hoping to fix that with a better solder. I got on the computer again this morning and found this site and I am so surprised to see that many others have this problem. I'll get what I can out of this sucker but after it finally does take a dump I think I'm done with Goldline. Thanks for a great site!!!!!

My Aqua Logic control system is 4 years old this summer (2010), and just noticed the error message a couple of days ago. As my pool started turning green, I was panicing until I came across this web site and after removing the mother board, saw the same weld burn mark. It took longer to go to the store to buy the soldering iron and solder than it did to repair the problem. Make sure you use the flux or resin core solder. Your web site rocks and, no doubt, saved me hundreds of dollars. Things are working properly. Thanks again for your help...
